Are Mussels and Clams Halaal

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Both mussels and clams are invertebrate animals and hence not from the fish family. Therefore according to the Hanafi Mazhab, they will be impermissible, likewise their derivatives.
